COVID-19 UPDATE

(Coronavirus)

7/30/2020

COVID-19 continues to spread and affect many parts of the U.S. and the rest of the world.

On July 30, 2020, Governor Tony Evers signed Emergency Order #1 in which states on August 1, 2020 FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED for all individuals ages 5 and older when indoors or in an enclosed space, other than a private residence.

Face coverings are strongly recommended in all other settings, including outdoors when it is not possible to maintain physical distancing.

Per the mandate, all guests need to be masked upon entering our facility and are to maintain the 6 feet social distancing guideline.

In an ongoing effort to stay up to date, we are in contact with local health departments for the latest recommendations. We will continue to be pro-active rather than re-active in reducing the spread of the coronavirus and will continue to work with local churches and religious organizations in order to provide families the best in funeral services for their loved ones.

We will still be maintaining the following guidelines to stop the spread of germs:

Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands
Do not touch your eyes, nose, and mouth
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer if hand washing is not an option
Stay home when you are sick

We understand that this is challenging in a funeral home setting, but these emotional times is what makes us vulnerable to getting sick. We are encouraging families to maintain social distancing and avoid offering handshakes, hugs and other gestures that could compromise the health of those at risk. Since funeral services are often made up of a greater amount of elderly people, please help us keep them safe.
