David L. Kuhlka
Age 62, of Pittsville, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at his residence.
A public Memorial/Birthday celebration will take place starting at 3PM on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Pitt Stop Tavern in Pittsville. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 11:30AM at the Babcock Cemetery. This date marks the 12th anniversary of David’s wife’s passing and also the date he will be laid to rest next to the love of his life.
David was born February 26, 1952 in Wisconsin Rapids to his parents Otto and Lauretta (Keenan) Kuhlka. He grew up in Babcock and later graduated from Pittsville High School. He proudly served his country in the Armed Forces. While residing in Milwaukee, David met and married the woman of his dreams Lori Kosinski. They later moved back to central WI. David had been employed at Wisconsin Homes for over 20 years. His hobbies included fishing camping and spending time with friends.
Survivors include his children: Kelly (Roger Wolf, Jr.) Bauer, Stacy Louison, Melissa Kuhlka and Michael Kuhlka; his grandchildren: Dylan, Kolton, Kaleb, Jered and Jadin; two brothers: Kenneth (Shirley) Kuhlka and Douglas (Joyce) Kuhlka; one sister Juanite Szybski along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
David was preceded in death by his loving wife Lori; his parents: Lauretta and Otto Kuhlka; two brothers: James and Dennis Kuhlka and three sisters: Elizabeth “Betty” Osinski, Jane Locey and Maureen Young.
Sadly, his wife Lori passed away on March 29, 2003. For those that knew David and Lori, the loved they shared was indescribable, so deep seeded, constant and unconditional, a love most people only dream of.
"When two people are meant to be nothing can end them, they may get lost in their journey but real love will always conquer and the two will be reunited. That’s the beauty of true love; you always end up back in the arms of the one you love when the time is right regardless of any other factor, even death.”
