Clifford R. Reeves
Age 89, of Marshfield was called home to his Lord and Savior on Monday evening, April 6, 2015 at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at East Gate Alliance Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Dr. Mark Lafferty and Pastor Art will officiate. Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post 54-Marshfield will follow the church service. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Thursday from 9:30AM until time of services. His burial will take place on Friday at 1PM in Glen View Cemetery in the Town of True in Rusk Co.
Cliff was born October 14, 1925 in Lincoln County, the son of Claude and Albertina (Remmers) Reeves. After receiving his education, he served his country faithfully in the United States Navy from November of 1943 until his honorable discharge in January of 1946. His first marriage was to Gloria Meyers. Sadly, she passed away. Years later, Cliff was united in marriage to Diana Yovanovich on February 5, 2005 in Elbow Lake, MN. She survives. He was employed as a foreman in various manufacturing plants including operations that created military parts for the United States.
His hobbies included traveling, singing and writing. He loved anything involving the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. Cliff was a member of East Gate Alliance Church in Marshfield and The Gideon International.
Survivors include his loving wife Diana Reeves of Marshfield; two children: Larry (Ann) Reeves of Long Beach, WA and Barbara (Mike) Phlughoeft of Ladysmith; four step-children: Timothy (Patricia) Buffham of Minnetonka, Gary Buffham of White Bear Lake, MN, Stephen (Cindy) Buffham of Blaine, MN and Paulette (Leslie Fenlon III) Buffham of Sioux Falls SD; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; four sisters: Alma (Del) Lambert of Marshfield, Myrtle Lambert of Bruce, Evelyn (Bob) Leindecker of Goshen, IN and Peggy Reeves of Racine along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Gloria; two brothers: Kenneth and Gaylord and two sisters: Millie and Ethel.
