Obituary of Gary L. Felten

Gary L. Felten Age 59, of Marshfield passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. His memorial service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer. Pastor Doug Schalow will officiate. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday at the funeral home from 12noon until time of services. A private committal service will be held at a later date. Gary was born December 23, 1955 in Marshfield to Richard and Shirley (Ridderbush) Felten. He attended Spencer Elementary School and graduated from Spencer High School. To his high school classmates he was known as the “Dazzler”. In high school, Gary took part in drama club and played football. In 1974 he began work at Weyerhaeuser in Marshfield until 1977 when Gary decided to travel the country and visit various places. Later in 1980 he returned to Weyerhaeuser now known as Marshfield Door Systems and continue to work there until his health would not allow him. Hobbies included fishing, hunting and bicycling. He loved the outdoors in general, especially camping with his children and teaching them about the great outdoors. Gary also enjoyed working in his gardens. Survivors include his two children: Stevana (Kurt) Skinner of Wisconsin Rapids and Nichalus (Emelie Burrill) of Marshfield; his two grandchildren: River and Jedidiah; his siblings: Sheri (Bruce) Bonitz of Spencer and Rick (Tracy) Felten of Hortonville; one sister-in-law: Mary Felten of Spencer along with many other relatives, friends and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Terry Felten.
