Lauri Anne Rank
Age 50, of Unity, formerly West Allis, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2015 at House of The Dove in Marshfield with family surrounding her bedside.
Memorial Services will be held at 11AM on Friday, July 17, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Riplinger. Rev. Rebekah Tarras will officiate. Committal services will take place privately at a later date. Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday at the church in Riplinger from 9AM until time of services.
Lauri was born July 15, 1964 in Addison, IL, the daughter of Glenn and Nilah (Schreur) Fowler. After her family moved to West Allis in 1966, she later attended West Allis Central High School and later graduated from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She was united in marriage to Jeffrey Allen Rank on April 10, 1987 at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church in West Allis. Together, they moved to Marshfield later relocating to Unity. Lauri loved her work as an occupational therapist helping patients with rehabilitation at Our Lady of Victory Hospital located in Stanley.
Her hobbies included gardening and caring for her horses, goats and chickens, getting out on the open road and motorcycling with her husband Jeff or just being outdoors to enjoy a hike in the woods. Lauri loved to draw and make beautiful glass bead works of art to share family and friends.
Lauri was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church-Riplinger.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years: Jeff Rank of Unity; her parents: Nilah and Glenn Fowler of West Allis; two sisters: Amy (Andy Farrell) Fowler-Farrell of Milwaukee and Elizabeth Fowler of Baltimore, MD; a nephew: Brendan Farrell of Milwaukee; her father-in-law: Larry Rank of West Allis; a sister-in-law: Kristine (fiancé Michael Mason) Rank; a brother-in-law: Larry (Jenelle) Rank along with other relatives, co-workers and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law: Judy A. Rank, her grandparents: Cornelius and Wilma (DeYoung) Schreur and Glenn and Grace (Denning) Fowler and LaVern and Thurley Rank.
The family is accepting memorials in Lauri’s name for a charity to be determined at a later date.
