Craig S. Miller, Sr.
Age 52, of Granton, was welcomed into heaven, December 27, 2013 surrounded by his family at the House of the Dove, Marshfield.
A funeral service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Pastor Anthony Sari and Pastor Moodie will officiate. Private committal services will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of services at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Miller, Craig Miller Jr., Raymond Novakoski, Ben Misikin, Anthony Sari and Jimmy Kopf.
Craig was born November 11, 1961 in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Lee and Carolyn (Leer) Miller. He attended grade school in Mason City, Iowa and graduated from Neillsville High School. He was united in marriage to Penny K. Eliason at the “Little Brown Church” in Nashua, Iowa on August 29, 1987. Following their marriage the couple resided in Iowa for a number of years before moving to Greenwood and then Spencer and settling in Granton. Together Craig and Penny raised four wonderful children.
Craig had a burden for the unsaved and told everyone he met about the saving grace of a relationship with Jesus Christ, he wanted everyone he met to meet him in heaven one day. His hobbies included farming, hunting, cars, boxing and golf; he was an avid hunter and outdoorsmen. As a student in high school he won medals in track. Craig was a family man, a dreamer and an adventurer. Craig’s greatest joy came from time spent with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife Penny Miller; his children: Craig S. (Tonya) Miller Jr. of Brighton, MI.; Amber J. (Raymond) Novakoski of Brighton, MI.; Audrey L. (Ben) Misikin of Greenbay and Aaron W. (Elizabeth) Miller of Spencer. Craig is further survived by his mother: Carolyn D. (Elroy Sletten) Miller of Greenwood; his brother: Lee D. (Gale) Miller Jr. of Chili; two sisters: Mary Lee (Mike) Leonard of Spencer and Pam (David) King of Mason City, IA.; ten grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Craig was preceded in death by his father Lee Miller Sr. and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family would like to thank the staff at the House of the Dove for their kind and compassionate care of Craig.
