Bradley G. Gilbertson,
Age 63, of Unity, passed away with family by his side on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Bradley Gordon Gilbertson was born in Barron on December 19, 1952, the son of the late Gordon Gilbertson, who passed away in October 1952 and Anita (Peterson) Gilbertson. Anita later married Glen Gilbertson who became Bradley’s step-father. Bradley attended Barron Grade School and graduated from Thorp High School. He was united in marriage to Sharon Kubera in Thorp on December 26, 1970. They raised two children, Karey and Travis.
Bradley worked for various companies, including: Mid-State Institute of Scandinavian Culture, Riverstone Inc., the Village of Stratford as the Water & Electric Commissioner, the Thorp Courier as a press setter, a house painter with Harley Swim and as the sales manager for Automated Products located in Marshfield.
His favorite hobbies were golfing, playing music and spending time with his family. Bradley played bass guitar and sang in several different bands, spanning 15 plus years. He had so many great memories of playing gigs with these bands which include: Trust, Prairie Fire and Jr. G and The Hellhounds. He was a joy to watch and entertained many.
He is survived by his wife Sharon of Unity; his daughter Karey (Clayton) Foster of Stratford and their children: Kaden, Carter, Austin and Averie and his son Travis (fiancé Maryann Duchow) Gilbertson of Stratford and his children: Tyler, Landon and Shae; a niece Kristin Lemons of Maine and sister-in-law Cheryl Gilbertson of Minnesota along with many other relatives and friends.
Bradley was preceded in death by his parents; his step father Glen; his grandparents Palmer Gilbertson and Marie Peterson; a sister and brother-in-law Sue (Jeff) Hall; a nephew Wyatt Hall; two brothers: David and John Gilbertson and uncle Don Peterson.
