Margaret M. Krings
Age 100, of Marshfield, formerly of Auburndale, passed away peacefully at the House of The Dove, Marshfield on Thursday, August 2, 2012.
Her funeral service will be held at 11AM on Monday, August 6, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church, Auburndale. The Rev. Mark Lundgren will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Auburndale. Visitation will be from 9AM until time of services on Monday at the church in Auburndale.

Margaret was born October 29, 1911 in the town of Milladore to William and Margaret (Baltus) Schultz. She attended Brookside School in rural Auburndale later graduating from Auburndale High School. She further attended Wood County Normal School and University of WI Stevens Point.
Early on Margaret taught in several of the rural schools in the area from 1930 until 1962 when the rural schools were closed. She married Earl C. Krings on August 6, 1934 in the rectory at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Auburndale. Together they farmed in the town of Green Valley in Marathon County for many years. In 1977 their farm was purchased by their son, Earl. Sadly, her husband Earl passed away December 22, 1985.
Margaret was a member of St.John Lutheran Church, St. John Lutheran Ladies Aid and Past President and Secretary of the L.W.M.L.
Her hobbies included reading, berry picking, painting, 1000 piece puzzles, crossword puzzles, word search puzzles and gardening. Margaret loved to travel to such places as Canada, Alaska and Florida or perhaps just go on a cruise somewhere with her family.
She is survived by one son: Earl Krings, Auburndale; one daughter: Margaret (David) Lingford, Auburndale; her grandchildren: Sue (James) Nelson, Marshfield; Paul (Karen) Krings, Auburndale; Barry (Lynn) Lingford, Auburndale; Lori (Jeff) Pearce, Auburndale; Lynette (Michael) Weis, Wausau; 11 great grandchildren: Jena (Beau) Serchen, Jessica (Ryan) Kurz, Jenny and John Lingford, Forrest and Elizabeth Krings, Dustin (Stephanie) Pearce and Tess Pearce; Chelsea, Cassandra and Zachary Weis; four great great grandchildren: Jacob Pearce; Evan, Jackson and Baylee Kurz; one step great great grandson, JJ Rotering, Jr. Margaret was further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, three sisters, and daughter in law; Arla (Lindekugel) Krings.
