Obituary of Judy A. Schmitt
Please share a memory of Judy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Judy Ann (Kilty) Schmitt, 55, Spencer, moved on to greener pastures in the early morning hours on Sunday, August 26th at the House of the Dove, with family by her side. “I used to drink and gave that up in 2004, but from what the signs show on having cancer, I should have kept drinking”.
Judy was born in Marshfield, WI November 26, 1956 to Elvira (Goelden) and Robert Kilty. She enjoyed camping, fishing, quilting, Scrabble, Sheephead and Cribbage. She traveled to England and Ireland. She loved taking her pal and confidante Max for walks in Madison. She also brought true meaning to “I wear my sunglasses at night”.
Judy is survived by her mother Elvira Kilty, three loving children—Jason (Corie) Schmitt, Laura and Jennifer Schmitt; grandchildren Bryce Rademan, Kaylee and Keegan Schmitt, siblings Bill (Sandy) Kilty, David (Sandie) Kilty, James (Janice) Kilty, Paul Kilty and Pam Kilty, along with many nieces and nephews, and three naughty cats—Angus, Baby and Kitty.
Visitation will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spencer on Saturday, September 1st from 10am-12pm with a public graveside service to follow.
Life Tributes Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Spencer is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the House of the Dove and the American Cancer Society for families facing the same battle.
On behalf of her family, thank you to all of the staff on 8 North at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the House of the Dove.
