Ella D. Bornheimer
Age 101, of Edgar, passed away at her residence in the evening on Sunday, September 2, 2012 with her daughter Carol and the Aspirus Comfort Care Hospice Services at her bedside.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Edgar. The Rev. Robert Streveler will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 10:30AM until time of services.

Ella was born April 26, 1911 in Rib Falls, a daughter to late Fred and Mary (Kania) Strasser. She attended St. John’s Parochial School until the 8th grade. Ella was married to Cyril M. Bornheimer on November 26, 1930 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Edgar. Sadly, Cyril passed away April 29, 1990. Ella worked at various companies including Edgar Basket Co., Marathon Rubber Co., S.S. Kresge and lastly at Marathon Cheese Co. where she was employed for 18 years. Her hobbies included crocheting, baking, gardening and going berry picking.
Ella was a member St. John The Baptist Catholic Church and the St. John’s PCCW.
She is survived by one son Robert (Marien) Bornheimer of Whittington, IL; one daughter Carol Ann (the late Richard) Ashbeck of Edgar; five grandchildren: Robert (Mary) Bornheimer of Trenton, IL; Sara (Brian) Streveler of Colby; Sandra (Joseph) Bratina of Brookfield; Mark (Danielle) Ashbeck of Edgar; Nancy (James) Schaefer of Medford; 11 great grandchildren: Erica, Ashley, Mary, Richard, Joseph, Benjamin, Emily, Isaac, Megan, Olivia and Lydia. Ella is further survived by a sister Delephine Trawicki of Edgar along many other relatives and friends.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cyril, a son-in-law Richard, three brothers: John, Ray and Butch Strasser and four sisters: Viola Schuster, Irene Abbley, Lillian Krautkramer and Marge Olson.

Her family would like to extend their gratitude to all those who assisted, cared and comforted Ella during her life.
