Obituary of Shirley N. Krause

Shirley N. Krause Age 86, of Stetsonville, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012 at her residence with her husband and children by her side with assistance from Ministry Home Care Hospice. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Rev. Daniel Hackel will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church in Dorchester from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Acting as her pallbearers will be Casey Krause, Neal Franz, Jason Krause, Peter Graff, Mike Graff, and Adam Graff. Life Tributes Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Spencer is assisting the family. Shirley was born November 9, 1926 in Dorchester to the late William and Caroline (Skrivani) Tischendorf. She attended Bruckerville Country School and Dorchester High School. She married Robert Graff, Sr. on May 1, 1945. He preceded her in death. On June 27, 1992 Shirley was married to Ernst Krause. He survives. One of Shirley’s hobbies was dancing and this is how she met her second husband Ernst, while dancing at the Eagles Club in Marshfield. One of Shirley’s memorable quotes was “Rather Dance than Eat” Other hobbies included flower gardening, playing cards, photography, and baking bread. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and a former member of the St Louis PCCW. She is lovingly survived by her dear husband Ernst of Stetsonville; her children: Mary (John) Redd of Florida; Nancy (David) Jenks of Florida; Joanne (Butch) Firnstahl of Medford; Edward (Kathy) Graff of Stetsonville; Daniel (Barbara) Graff of Stetsonville; Sarah (Tom) Sestito of Florida; John (Maureen) Graff of Medford; and Timothy Graff of Dorchester; her stepchildren: Nancy (Robert) Genack of Brookfield; Linda Reich of Spencer; James (Jane) Krause of Spencer; Dennis Krause of Spencer; Susan (James) Kleinschmidt of Spencer; Kathy (Kim) Rice of Marshfield; Wilbur (Annette) Krause of Spencer and Randy (Carol) Krause of Spencer. Shirley is further survived by 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 24 step grandchildren and 24 step great grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Robert Sr., an infant son, Robert Jr., three brothers and one sister. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be given to Ministry Home Care Hospice in Shirley’s name because of the outstanding and compassionate care shown to their mother.
