Charlotte R. Jonas
Age 59, of Spencer, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday evening, January 5, 2013 with her husband, daughters and sisters at her bedside.
Her funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Rev. Daryn Bahn and Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield. Visitation will be Thursday from 4PM until 8PM at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer and again on Friday at the church in Marshfield from 10AM until time of service. Acting as her pallbearers will be Bill, Dick and Barb Hebert, Deb Ramsdel, Bill Jonas and Kathy Eckes. Honorary pallbearers will be Mataya and Kallen Steinbach and Kaylie and Kendra Charron.
Charlotte was born February 8, 1953 in Marshfield the daughter of Gerald and Virginia (Glasby) Hebert. After her graduation from Spencer High School , she moved to Chicago for a short time and worked as a nanny. After returning from Chicago, she worked at the Marshfield Convalescent Center for 12 years. She married Dan Jonas on July 15, 1978 at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield. While being an at home mother raising her three girls, Charlotte also cared for and babysat other children. She later worked at the Marshfield Clinic Pharmacy then began employment for various financial institutions in the area. She retired after ten years as a loan officer with The Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union.
Hobbies included camping, baking delicious treats and creating one of a kind pancakes with the grandkids and sharing her time with family. Charlotte enjoyed decorating cakes for her daughters and grandchildren. To those who knew her best Charlotte loved shoppin’ with her daughters, goin’ uptown or maybe just bummin’. You might have found her putzin’ in her flower gardens around the house or maybe you saw Charlotte out having fun because she liked to boogie. She had a real nack for interior decorating and was a huge supporter for Relay For Life. Charlotte was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield.
Survivors include her husband Dan of Spencer; three daughters: Tina (Russell) Steinbach of Granton; Jenny (Joe) Charron of Hewitt and Lisa (Enrique) Ramos of Stevens Point; four grandchildren: Mataya and Kallen Steinbach, Kaylie and Kendra Charron; her mother Virigina Hebert of Marshfield; two brothers: Bill (Mary) Hebert of Marshfield; Dick (Marge) Hebert of Marshfield; Deb Ramsdel of Lawton, OK and Barb Hebert of Marshfield. She was further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her father Gerald Hebert and a special aunt and friend Marge Glasby.
The family is accepting memorials in Charlotte’s name to the Marshfield Area Relay for Life.
