John F. Hebert
Age 75, of Marshfield passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
A funeral service will be held at 7PM on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer. Pastor Randy Vandeloo will officiate. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home in Spencer from 4PM until time of services. Acting as pallbearers will be Leonard Hebert, James Beilke, Franklin Hebert, Bruce Vine, Jamie Vine and Ricky Edblom.
John was born July 23, 1937 in the Township of Unity, the son of the late Leo and Hazel (Tibetts) Hebert. Like many farm children, while going to grade school John also worked on the farm. The family later moved to Colby. John married Leta Jo Miller on April 9, 1978. They lived together in Spencer and Marshfield until her death on April 6, 2005. His employment included logging work for Taylor Tree Service, a lawn cutting business and custodial work at the Marshfield Clinic until his retirement in 2000.
His hobbies included hunting and fishing. John loved being in the woods and also spending time with his family. He treasured his relationships with his dear friend Arlene’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
John is survived by his special friend Arlene Beilke of Granton, his siblings: Vivian (Arvin) Podevels of Marshfield; Adela Schmidt of Wausau; Leonard (Clarie) Hebert of Spencer; Franklin (Janice) Hebert of McAllen, TX; Florence Edblom of Colby; Alice (William) Kasten of Hatley; Joan Jones of Carthage, MS; Rose (Aaron) Wicker of Wausau and Carol Engman of Wausau; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Leta and a sister Marie Hebert Hartl.
