Obituary of Lloyd W. Bell

Lloyd W. “Butch” Bell Age 87, of the Town of Lincoln in Wood County, passed away at his residence early Tuesday morning, July 16, 2013 with his family by his side and hospice care provided by Ministry Home Care Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville. The Rev. Sebastian Venni will officiate with Deacon Raymond Draeger attending. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday at the church in Bakerville from 8AM until time of services. Acting as pallbearers will be Kevin Baltus, Michael Kelnhofer, James Kelnhofer, Chuck Langreck, Olin Boson, Ethan Bell and Caymen Bell. Arrangements are under the care of Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer. Lloyd was born February 5, 1926 in Marshfield, the son of William and Catherine (Tremmel) Bell. He attended Ebbe Country School in the Town of Lincoln and later attended Marshfield Vocational School. On October 1, 1945 Lloyd married the former Elaine G. Hansen at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bakerville. Employment included working for the Wood County Highway Department driving various heavy equipment. The majority of his working years was spent doing something he truly loved-farming. Lloyd owned and operated a dairy farm operation in the Town of Lincoln until his retirement. Hobbies included bowling, dancing, snowmobiling and hunting. Lloyd also enjoyed owning and operating a deer farm for many years. He was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bakerville, a member of the Knights of Columbus Father John Eisen Coucil #1799, Marshfield, the Fraternal Order of Eagles #624, Marshfield and Bakerville Snow Rovers. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife Elaine Bell of the Town of Lincoln, six children: Diane (Dennis Kowalski) Baltus of Mosinee; Kathleen (David) Langreck of Marshfield; Pattie (Ron) Kelnhofer of Marshfield; William (Dawn) Bell of Kronenwetter; Amy (Eric) Boson of Marshfield and Timothy (Nicole) Bell of Collierville, TN; 20 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; two sisters: Delphine Hansen and Lorraine “Honey” Pichler both of Marshfield and one brother Raymond (Colleen) Bell of Lindsey along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends and a true and trusted canine companion, his dog “Major”. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Melvin, Norbert and Zeno Bell and two sisters: Lilas Feirer and Ruth Dix. Lloyd's family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital-Palliative Care Unit, the staff at Ministry Home Care Hospice for their support and tender care and Mitch & Kristi Larsen very special neighbors for all their support.
