Gordon L. “Gordy” Johnson Age 73, of Stratford, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Golden Living Center-Three Oaks in Marshfield with his wife Marijean beside him. A memorial service will be held at 4PM on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer. Committal services will take place privately at a later date.His family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 2PM until time of services. Gordy was born May 8, 1940, the son of Clayton and Hilda (Seehafer) Johnson. On June 6, 1959 he married Marijean Hekedish at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stratford. She survives. He resided in the Lindsey and Nasonville areas as a child later moving to Stratford. Gordy was employed as a cheesemaker at various plants in the area later retiring in 1997. He enjoyed his family, his pets and ATV riding. Survivors include his wife Marijean of Stratford; two sons Randy Johnson and Scott R. (Karen) Johnson both of Stratford; three grandchildren: Jeremi (Rachel) Johnson, Cassey and Justin Poeschel; one great grandson Scott A. Johnson and one brother Robert (Lois) Johnson of Le Sueur, MN. along with other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
