JoAnn R. Aschebrock, age 74, of Stratford, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Miller Alternative Care of Marshfield under the tender care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM Friday, April 29, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stratford. Rev. Sengole Vethamanickam will officiate along with Rev. Eric Berns. Music provided by St. Joseph’s Resurrection Choir. Committal services will be held privately at a later date. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00AM at the church until time of service. A rosary service will be held on Friday at 9:15AM.
JoAnn was born July 14, 1941 to Anton and Mercedes (Kloss) Bangart at home in the Town of Day. She attended grade school at St. Andrew’s Catholic School in Rozellville and graduated from Marshfield Senior High in 1960. JoAnn was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Aschebrock on July 21, 1961 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Rozellville. JoAnn and Bob where lifelong residents of Stratford. JoAnn enjoyed being a full time mother and homemaker while raising her three children.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stratford, the PCCW, a church choir member and head cook at St. Joseph’s Catholic School for 13 years. JoAnn actively prayed for many family and friends. She enjoyed sewing for friends, gardening and collecting cat planters. She was an active member in her community helping with various events including Stratford Heritage Days among many others.
JoAnn is survived by her husband Bob; her children: Sara Wenzel of Marshfield, Jeffrey (Donna) Aschebrock of Stratford and Patricia (Jeff) Golbach of Stratford; seven grandchildren: Ryan & Danny Wenzel, Lillian Golbach Baker, Lydia Golbach and Mark, Jamie & Casey Aschebrock; two great-grandchildren: Jacob & Joel Wenzel; her sisters: Monica (Norm) Wolfe, Marilyn (Roy) Brumbaugh, Jane (Dennis) Pankratz, Darlene (Jan) Harmon and Sister Antoinette; her brothers: Jim (Jenny) Bangart, Don Bangart and Charlie (Judy) Bangart; along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Anton and Mercedes Bangart, a sister Patsy in childhood, two brothers: Tom Bangart and Terry Bangart and a sister-in-law Patti Bangart.
