Judith A. “Judy” Scheibe, Age 71, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, May, 30, 2016 at House of the Dove in Marshfield while family gathered at her bedside. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield with Rev. Daryn Bahn, Rev. Andrew Wilson and Rev. Mark Krueger officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer and again on Monday at the church in Marshfield from 10AM until time of services. The honor of pallbearer belongs to Isaac, Elijah and Zachary Ruder, Matthew Bargander, Scott and Rocky Schmidt Judith was born on January 5, 1945 in Marshfield to David and Erma (Karau) Bargander. She attended grade school at Holmes County and Spencer Elementary later graduating from Spencer High School. On June 20, 1964 she was united in marriage to Robert Scheibe at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. Together they raised their three children. Judy was employed at Shopko Department Store in Marshfield with over 28 years of dedicated customer service. She later continued with her love of caring and service to patrons by working at the coffee shop “Starbucks” located in Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield until her retirement in 2011. She enjoyed her gardening, reading, creating beautiful garden art crafts, playing cribbage and taking an occasional trip or two to the casino. Judy loved traveling to many places in the U.S. especially to Alaska and Mexico. One of her favorite pastimes was cooking and sharing delicious chocolate chip cookies, homemade caramels, jams, jellies and pickles with family and friends. Sitting and talking with friends and neighbors was always a truly simple joy for Judy and she loved every minute of socializing with people. Judy was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield and attended bible class there regularly. She offered her time and talents by volunteering at church as well. She is survived by her husband Robert of 51 years; her children: Melinda (Dr. Andy) Ruder of Eau Claire, Melissa (Scott) Frankland of Marshfield and Brian (Mary Jo) Scheibe of Marshfield; her grandchildren: Isaac, Elijah and Zachary Ruder, Mackenzie and Casey Frankland; Madelyn, Maya and Reese Scheibe; her sister Shirley Bargander of Spencer and her brother Dennis (Mary) Bargander of Marshfield; a sister-in-law Joanne Schmidt of Marshfield and brother-in-law’s Richard Scheibe of Jackson, WI and Ron (Barb) Scheibe of Marshfield along with many other relatives, friends and coworkers She was predeceased by her parents, a granddaughter Kali Ann Frankland, a sister-in-law Carol Sternitzky, and brother-in-law’s Allen and Richard Schmidt. The family wishes to thank the staff at House of the Dove, Ministry Home Care Hospice and Saint Joseph’s Hospital of Marshfield for the compassionate care of Judy. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Judy’s name are being accepted by her family for a charity to be determined a later date. Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer is assisting the family.
