Obituary of Edwin Thomas Munson

Edwin T. Munson Age 76, of Marshfield, passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 25, 2017 under the care of Heartland Hospice of Stevens Point. His memorial service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Rev Daryn Bahn, Rev. Mark Krueger and Pastor Peter Berg will all officiate. Committal services for Edwin will take place privately at a later date. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday at the church from 9AM until time of services. The honor of pallbearer belongs to his grandsons. Edwin was born on December 1, 1940 in Winston-Salem, NC, the son of Samuel and Lavern (Hanson) Munson. He was married to Sandra J. Gretz on January 12, 1963. They later divorced. His second marriage was to Katherine Berg on May 23, 1986. They later divorced. For many years, Edwin worked in lawn and garden sales. His hobbies included duck and goose hunting, deer hunting and getting out to play a round of golf. To say that Edwin loved the Green Bay Packers was an understatement. He was a long time diehard Packer fan dating back to the Ice Bowl in 1967. Survivors include his three sons: Michael (Gabrielle) Munson of Oshkosh, Mark (Misty) Munson of Sheboygan and Samuel (Sara Bernardy) Munson of Green Bay; his grandsons: Thomas and John Munson both of Oshkosh, Cole and Jack Munson both of Sheboygan and a twin Oscar Munson of Bovey, MN; one brother Niles (Beverly) Munson of Richfield, MN; his ex-wives: Sandra Roseboom of Kalamazoo, MI and Katherine Munson of Marshfield along with other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. If desired, the family is accepting memorials in Edwin’s name for charity to be determined.
