Mary Jane “Mae” Beining, age 94, of Rozellville passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Marshfield.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Rozellville with Rev. Sengole Vethanayagam officiating. Committal services will follow in Saint Andrew's Cemetery. Family will receive relatives and friends from 9AM until service time at the church on Saturday.
Mae was born on May 26, 1922 in Stratford to Laurie B. and Jennie (Hughes) Weber. She was united in marriage to Henry (Hank) E. Beining on June 29, 1949 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stratford. Sadly, Henry died in a car accident on April 7, 1978.
Mae attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and Stratford High School. She graduated in 1943 from the Marathon County Normal School with her teaching degree. She taught school for several years at McKinley School near Rozellville.
Besides teaching, Mae enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, playing cards, listening to the Brewers and most of all going shopping on Sunday afternoons with her sisters and daughters.
Mae is survived by her children and grandchildren: Linda Beining and Russell Beining both of Rozellville; Daryl (Pat) of Rozellville and their son, Kyle Beining of St. Louis Park, MN; Randall (Bernadette) of Rozellville and their children Jennifer (Jake) Meyer of Schofield and Jeffrey Beining of San Francisco, CA; Gloria (Ward) Olson of Belgrade Montana; and Lisa (Randy) Krall of Rozellville and their children, Matthew Krall of Thief River Falls, MN and Courtney Krall of Des Moines, IA. She is further survived by one great grandchild, Ava Meyer along with many other relatives and dear friends.
Besides her parents and her husband Hank, Mae was preceded in death by her siblings: Lawrence “Doug”, Conway, Kenneth, Madelyn and Ruby Weber and Connie Schroepfer.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be designated in Mae’s name to a charity to be determined.
The family would like to thank the staff at Atrium Post Acute Care and Ministry Home Care Hospice for their care of Mae.
