Jean M. Pankratz
Age 83, of Marshfield, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Golden Living Center-Three Oaks in Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Samuel A. Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Saint Michael Parish Cemetery in Hewitt. Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday at the church from 9:30AM until time of services.
Jean was born January 12, 1934 in Stratford, the daughter of Walter and Thecla (Hennes) Kaiser. She attended St. Joseph Parochial School and later Stratford High School. On May 25,1955, she was united in marriage to Mathew J. Pankratz at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stratford. Together, they owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Marshfield. Jean was both a dedicated mother and farmer’s wife.
Her hobbies included card games with friends, “playing” on the sewing machine and bowling the perfect game. Through the years, Jean and Mat enjoyed traveling all over the country proudly stating that they hit almost every state except Alaska.
Survivors include her husband Mathew Pankratz of Marshfield: her son Robert (Cynthia) Pankratz of Marshfield; her grandchildren: Lisa (Kurt) Wiese of Marshfield, Michael (Sara) Pankratz of Marshfield and Daniel Pankratz of Milwaukee; her great grandchildren: Kylee, Cole, Cash, Olivia and Brielle; one sister Elaine Samuels of Tulsa, OK; one brother John (Loretta) Kaiser of Marshfield along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Linda, a sister Annella Baldwin and two brothers-in-law: Ben Samuels and Leroy Baldwin.
If desired, the family is accepting memorials in Jean’s name for a charity to be determined later.
