Age 71, of Marshfield, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at House of The Dove in Marshfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield with Rev. Charles Hiebl officiating. Burial will follow in Brook Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday at the church from 9:30AM until time of services.

Tom was born December 23, 1945 in Bakerville, the son of Alois and Edna (Schmidt) Binder.  On September 27, 1969, he married the former Rita Rose Weber at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield. She survives.  Tom worked as a underground installation foreman for a natural gas company until his retirement in 2009.

Survivors include his loving wife Rita of Marshfield; his two sons: Jeff (Heidi) Binder of Marshfield and John (Kari Lyons) Binder of Houston, TX; his two granddaughters: Renee and Sarah Binder both of Marshfield; his siblings: Jeanette Andres of Marshfield, Donald (Barb) Binder of Marshfield, Peter (Judy) Binder of Hayward, James (Sue) Binder of Rhinelander, Paul (Doreen) Binder of Marshfield, Mark (Kathy) Binder of Marshfield and Mary Binder of Marshfield; two sisters-in-law: Maeve Binder of South Carolina and Nancy Binder of Marshfield along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: John and William Binder and a brother-in-law Donald Andres.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting memorials in Tom’s name to House of The Dove in Marshfield.
