Corey R. Joswiak
Age 30, of Spencer passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 21, 2017 at his residence.
His memorial service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Stratford with Pastor Sue Eidahl officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday at the church from 9AM until time of services. The honor of pallbearer belongs to Duane Schraeder, Darrel Schraeder, Steven Knauf and Ben Syring. His family will hold a private committal service at a later time.
Corey was born on July 8, 1987 in Marshfield, the son of Jeffrey and Beverly (Schraeder) Joswiak. He was a graduate of Stratford High School. On August 9, 2014, Corey was united in marriage to Amanda Stuttgen in Stratford and to this union a beautiful daughter was born. They later divorced.
His hobbies included spending time outdoors especially deer hunting in bow season and rifle season, attending social events with family and friends and spending time with his sidekick “Johnny”, his horse that was Corey’s pride and joy. For those that knew him, Corey was always willing to help those in need whether it was a neighbor needing help baling hay, welding a broken part on a tractor for someone or making a halter for someone’s horse. He will be sadly missed.
Survivors include his mother Beverly Schraeder of Spencer, his father Jeffrey Joswiak of Stratford, his daughter Evalyn of Stratford, his sister Chelsea (fiancé Clayton Byrd) of Tennessee, his brother Eric Joswiak of Stratford, his maternal grandmother Jean (Bernard) Huser of Stratford along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Corey is further survived by his saddle horse “Johnny”
Corey was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather LeRoy Schraeder, his paternal grandfather Rueben Joswiak and his aunt Yvonne Knauf.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting memorials in Corey’s name for a charity to be determined later.
