Obituary of Nancy M. Northup

Nancy M. Northup, Age 61, of the Town of Spencer, passed away at her residence surrounded by family on Saturday, November 16, 2013 while being cared for by Ministry Home Care Hospice. The family will be receiving relatives and friends to celebrate Nancy's memory on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 3PM until 7PM at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer. Committal services will take place privately at a later date. She was born in Marshfield on August 18, 1952, the daughter of Alvin and Angeline (Markowski) Degnitz. Nancy attended grade school at Our Lady Of Peace Parochial School in Marshfield then later entered Marshfield Senior High School but actually graduated from Spencer High School. On February 18, 1975 she was married to Robert Northup in Neillsville. He survives. For 34 years, Nancy was employed by the Marshfield Clinic as a medical transcriptionist. In 2007, Nancy continued working in the same field only from her home until she was unable to do so because of her health. Her hobbies included camping, taking walks in the woods with her mother, Angeline, spending time with her grandkids and getting together with friends for “the shake of the day”. Nancy was an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan. Survivors include her husband Robert Northup of Spencer; two sons: Michael Northup of Spencer and Alan (Sunshine) Northup of Spencer; her grandchildren: Kaily, Natilie, Robert, Dominic and Ashlee; four sisters: Carol (John) Groff of Amery, Sue (Dick) Sinette of Marshfield, Pat (DuWayne) Fravert of Marshfield and Kathy (Sandy) Edwards of Euless, TX along with other relatives and many friends.
