Obituary of Nancy Elizabeth Davidson
Nancy E. Davidson,
Age 84, of Marshfield, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Marshfield. She was under the tender care of Heartland Hospice and was surrounded by many loved ones.
A private service will take place at a later date at Burnsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Burnsville, Minnesota.
Nancy was born on October 27, 1933 in Minnesota, the daughter of Frank Palmer and Elizabeth Palmer Leathers. She graduated from South High in Minneapolis,MN in 1951 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minneapolis in 1957. Nancy was united in marriage to Dale Davidson Sr. on November 24, 1962. Sadly, Dale passed away on September 19, 1997.
She sang in the Minneapolis Choralaires traveling to Europe in her younger years which was one of the many highlights for her.
She resided in Minneapolis until she moved to Wauwatosa, WI then to Oconomowoc, WI. She then moved to Florida for a few years then back to WI where they settled in Phillips, WI.. Nancy was a teacher’s aide for the Phillips Middle School System for several years before retirement.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Phillips, WI where she was a choir director for several years. Nancy enjoyed music, singing, directing choirs and giving voice lessons. She was a talented seamstress and loved quilting and gardening and most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and vacationing with her family.
Nancy is survived by her children: Dale (Sandra) Davidson,Jr. of Watertown, WI and Holly (Davidson) Sterling of Marshfield; WI; her six grandchildren and her 15 great-grandchildren and her sister Dana Lee (Vincent) DeSanti of Columbia, MD. She is further survived by 18 nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her grandson Bryan and her great granddaughter Aleeah.
