Agnes was born on May 7, 1921 in the Town of Cleveland in Marathon County, the daughter of Emil and Anna (Schoenfuss) Wiesman. She received her education at both Sunshine Country School and Saint Joseph’s Parochial School in Stratford.  She was united in marriage to Raymond Brinkmann on August 7, 1943 in Saint Andrew’s Catholic Church in Rozellville.  Sadly, Raymond passed away on March 11, 2000.  Agnes was a dedicated wife and mother to her children.

She was a longtime member of Saint Andrew’s Catholic Church, the Christian Mother’s Society and the St. Andrew's School PTA during her children’s time in school. When Agnes left home, she traveled to Evanston, IL to work.  Later she also worked in San Francisco and Memphis TN.  Ray and Agnes worked in Oshkosh after their marriage before finally settling in Rozellville.  Agnes worked various jobs which included being a waitress, being the Town of Day Health Officer, managing the Nutrition Center for the Elderly meals in Rozellville and working at the polls on election days.  Agnes was very proud of the fact that she was the first female poll worker in the Town of Day.  During her early years in Rozellville Agnes joined a women’s bowling league and was a good bowler.  For those who knew her Agnes was a people person and loved conversing with any and all.

Survivors include her children:  Marie (Peter) Jaeger of Stratford, Ronald (Mary Jo) Brinkmann of Mt. Horeb, Diane (John) Beyerl of Marshfield and Roger (Lori) Brinkmann of Stratford, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and two sisters: Margaret Zastrow of Weston and Sister Mary Ann Wiesman of La Crosse along with other relatives and friends.

The family expresses their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Stoney River Assisted Living and to the care providers at Asera Care Hospice Services for all the love, care and support given to Agnes and to her family.
