Charles A. “Chuck” Bohman formerly of Marshfield, passed away on Thursday , April 24, 2014 at his residence in Austin, TX. A Memorial Prayer Service will be held at 11:30AM on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Eric Berns will preside. Committal services will be held privately at a later date. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Monday from 4PM until 7:30PM and again on Tuesday at the church from 10:00AM until time of services. Chuck’s friends will have the honor of being his pallbearers. Chuck was born on March 16, 1956 in Neillsville, the son of Joseph and Eunice (Bornbach) Bohman. He attended Rozellville and Marshfield schools. Upon graduation, Chuck worked for Clover Creamery, Leick Amusements and various other jobs in the area . In 1982, Chuck moved south to Austin, TX where he resided until the time of his passing. While living there, Chuck was self-employed as a carpenter but also was engaged in masonry work, and hanging drywall. He remodeled his home which was a huge accomplishment and he was very proud of that. Chuck’s passion was skiing – downhill, cross-country and waterskiing. He belonged to a ski club, where he met numerous friends and traveled to various places across the globe. His friends were many, and very important to him. He would lend a hand wherever and whenever necessary, and his expertise were appreciated by all. For his family members and friends that knew him, Chuck was known for his kindness, gentleness and fun nature. He loved life and all people in it, he was an adventurer. He enjoyed visiting with his mother, siblings, nieces and nephews. It was not uncommon to spend some time with Chuck and a cup of coffee and something sweet to eat. He loved that. Survivors include his mother Betty Bohman of Marshfield, his 13 siblings: Carla (Mike) Bryhan of Oregon, WI, Jan (Prentice) House of Arkansas, Gary Bohman of Marshfield, Ronald (Dawn) Bohman of Marshfield, Christine (Larry) Hannum of Marshfield, Barbara (Keith) Wucherpfennig of Granton, Brenda (Daryl) Sternweis of Marshfield, Patrick (special friend Tammy Hensel) Bohman of Spencer, Cheryl (Kevin) Willcome of Spencer, Paul (Michelle) Bohman of Loyal, Tina (Tad) Gardner of Granton, Sheila (Robby) Roehl of Granton and Ginger (Adam) Sternweis of Marshfield; 38 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many friends. Chuck is preceded in death by his birth parents and his paternal and maternal grandparents. If desired, the family is accepting memorials in Chuck’s name to: The American Heart Association.
