Margaret R. Lenz
Age 103, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Three Oaks Health Services in Marshfield.
Her family will celebrate Margaret’s life with a private memorial service and a committal service that will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield. Rev. Dr. Laurie Brubaker Davis will be officiating. The honor of pallbearer will belong to Randy Schnabel, Raymond Schnabel, Jr., Darrel Hilt and Devery Hilt.
Margaret was born April 13, 1915 in the Township of York in Clark County, the daughter of Peter and Helen (Schuld) Andregg. She attended Pleasant View Country School in rural Clark County and graduated from the 8th grade. To help provide for her family, Margaret and her sisters took jobs doing house cleaning for the area neighbors. On January 12, 1932, she married Louis Buddinger in Neillsville and was a loving and devoted mother to her five children. In addition to being a homemaker Margaret was employed at Bloom Bros. Box Factory in Marshfield and later retired from Weyerhaeuser.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Marshfield, the Friendship Circle Woman’s Club and was along time member of Shriners International. For years Margaret lovingly provided haircuts to all the neighborhood kids in the area. She donated her time with Meals on Wheels and delivered hot meals to those in need.
Margaret provided delicious meals for her family and was known as a great cook and did all the mending and sewing for her family. Her hobbies included reading a good book, playing cards with friends, taking bus trips and enjoyed archery.
Survivors include her three children: Bonnie Rae Schnabel of Unity, Marlene (Lloyd) Hilt of Marshfield and Dixie Lee (Marvin) Schnabel of Elm Grove; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Alice, her son Jerald, her four sisters: Frieda, Julia, Marie and Carolyn, her three brothers: Peter, Verlyn and Clarence, and a son-in-law Ray Schnabel.
