Lois Ann Oestreich
On Saturday August 4, 2018 Lois A. Oestreich, 85, loving wife and mother passed away peacefully with family at her side. Funeral services will be had Thursday, August 9th at 11 AM at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer, WI. Visitation will be held Wednesday August 8th from 4-8 PM and 10 AM before services. The honor of pallbearers will belong to Seth and Trystan Oppert, Jesse Bohman and Rick, Cody, and Kyler Delis.
Lois was born June 3, 1933 in Greenwood, WI to Lloyd and Julia Hebert. She attended schools in Marshfield and graduated from Marshfield Senior High in 1951.
Lois and Richard A. Oestreich were united in marriage on June 3, 1961 at Faith Lutheran Church in Marshfield, WI. They just celebrated their 57th anniversary. She was a stay at home mom while her children were young and helped Dick on their family farm in rural Loyal, WI until when they sold the farm and moved to Spencer, WI. In 1978, she worked at Smith Feed Service in Riplinger as a bookkeeper. In 1983, they purchased the Feed Mill and renamed it “Riplinger Feed & Farm.” She continued working there until her retirement in 1989.
Lois was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, in Spencer, the Ladies Aide, L.W.M.L. on the Spencer EMS as an EMT, and on the Village of Spencer Election Board for 30 years.
She is survived by her husband Dick, children Sue (Gary) Owen, Gary (Joyce) Oestreich, Debra (Pat) Bohman and Greg Oestreich. She also leaves her loving grandchildren Lisa (Rick) Delis, Tina and Sara Oestreich, Seth, Eric (Jamie) Oppert, and Jesse (Jessica) Bohman and 7 great-grandchildren. Sisters Arlene Will and Virgean Zahn, sister-in-law Shirley Hebert along with many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Michael and David; brothers, Donald, Gerald, Virgil, Ward and sisters, Ruby Nuemann and Betty Boehning. Mother and father-in-law, Elmer and Lenora Oestreich; in-laws Mary Jane, Verlene, Virginia Hebert and Ray Neumann, Ralph Will, Ray Boehning and Gordon Zahn.
She enjoyed traveling with Dick, camping, playing games, garage sales and spending time with her family and loving companion-Sadie, her Teddy Bear puppy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated. These will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy, Cystic Fibrosis, and Organ Donation, which all had an impact on Lois.
