Eli N. Miller

Age 84, of Spencer, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Maple View Church; W386 Mann Road, Spencer. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Maple View Church. Burial will follow services at Spencer Amish Cemetery; Twenty-Six Road, Spencer. The honor of pallbearer belongs to Michael Farmwald, Edwin Coblentz, Johnathan Chupp, Adrian Miller, Wendell Miller, and Anthony Yoder.

Eli was born on February 15, 1934 in Hartville, Ohio to Noah and Fannie (Stutzman) Miller. On October 18, 1956 he was united in marriage to Vera Sommers. Eli and Vera farmed in Hartville Ohio later moving to rural Spencer where they owned and operated a dairy farm.

Eli is survived by his children: Rachel (Paul) Chupp of Spencer Louis (Marlin) Farmwald of Bellville, AR, Ruth (James) Coblentz of Maysville, MO, John Mark (Deborah) Miller of Lincoln, MO, Grace (Larry) Miller of Spencer, Lois (James) Yoder of Spencer, Philip (Ruth) Miller of Spencer, and Norma (Henry) Chupp of Conneautville, PA; 47 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; his brother Roman Miller, of Kokomo, MS; and his sister Ada Kennedy, of Sarasota, FL along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Noah and Fannie, his wife Vera, his son Norman, a grandson Matthew, a great-grandson Bryan and his brothers: John and Pete.
