Ardina S. Alexander

 

Age 91, of Spencer, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Marshfield Medical Center.

 

Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spencer with Rev. Rebekah Tarras officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday at the church from 9:30 AM until time of services.  Ardina will be laid to rest in Saint Luke’s Cemetery in the Town of Green Grove.  Serving as pallbearers will be: Kennie Knecht, Bob Knecht, Ryan Alexander, Doug Alexander, Chuck Molle and Carl Haemer.

 

Ardina was born July 10, 1927 in the Town of Beaver, the daughter of Edward and Selma (Tesmer) Knecht. She married Delos Alexander on November 23, 1946 at home in the Town of Beaver and together they raised their family along with owning and operating a dairy farm. Ardina was also dedicated to caring for her parents in their later years. 

 

She enjoyed square dancing and polka dancing, was known to tell a good joke, liked playing cards with family and friends and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens.  Ardina truly loved babysitting the Goodwin kids when they were growing up keeping in touch with her throughout the years.

 

Ardina is  survived by her son Leonard (Shirley) Alexander of Reedsburg; her daughter Debbie Alexander of Spencer; her son-in-law, Jack Molle of Unity; her grandchildren, Doug Alexander of Mansfield, TX; Cindy Kurtenbach of Chippewa Falls, Ryan Alexander of Reedsburg; her step-granddaughter, Lisa Heinz of Dane; Chuch Molle of Madison, Kathy Polzin of Medford; her great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Courtney Polzin, Cameron Morse, Kolby Heinz, Madison Alexander,  Meghan Stanford, Logan, Spencer, Tyler and Carly Kurtenbach along with many other relatives and friends

 

Ardina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Delos, her daughter Emily Molle, three brothers: Herbert, Carlton and Rolland and one sister Bernadine Witte.

 

The family of Ardina would like to say thank you to the 5th Floor Marshfield Medical Center staff for the compassionate care mom received while she was there.

 

The family is accepting memorials in Ardina’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The American Cancer Society and Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer.
