My Grandpa was the best grandpa anyone could ask for.. I have many fond memories of him. I can remember ever holiday sitting and watching him and Harvey playing cribbage, I was very interested and intrigued. Then one Christmas granpa said "you young lady have been watching us for so many years, I think it's about time you play with us" I was a quick learner but grandpa was a great teacher. I used to love getting together at holidays and finally getting to play cribbage with him and Harvey.. Up until grandpas vision started failing him. We even bought the jumbo size cards for him, but he could no longer play. So I took what I had learned from him and tought Thomas and Tyler how to play at about the age of 10.. They really enjoy the game and it's great math learning skills. Jeff and I regularly play 2 person teams with them and I must say they are pretty good. Another great memory I have of grandpa is every christmas he used to get so excited when it was his turn to hand out gifts. Especially for the great grandkids. Grandpa would stock up on CANDY.. All the grandkids would line up by him, get their candy and give grandpa a big hug. It was priceless seeing the look of enjoyment he got out of doing it.. Another thing I remember is him cracking my toes as a kid. Not a very nice memory, but still something that I will always hold dear to my heart. YOU WILL FOREVER BE IN MY HEART GRANDPA... And I know that you will be my guardian angel and watch over all of your loved ones you left behind. I will think of you everyday until the day we are reunited again...LOVE YOU
