Obituary of John H. Graczkowski

John H. Graczkowski passed away at his home on November 25, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. He was 73.
John was born to John and Ann (Dolata) Graczkowski on December 25, 1939 in Beaver, Wisconsin. John was raised in Eastern Wisconsin and served two tours of duty in the US Army between 1958 and 1965. John worked as a semi truck driver until 1975. He married Judy Hein June 10, 1970. He later decided to go into farming in order to be more involved in raising the family. After the kids were grown he returned to driving semi until retirement in 2002.
John enjoyed many hours in his work shop building, modifying and repairing various motorized vehicles including tractors, cars, trucks (big and small), motorhomes and anything else with an engine. He especially looked forward to working on mechanical problems with his children and grandchildren. Other interests included growing beautiful roses, reading and gardening.
John is survived by his wife Judy, children; Lynda (Marven); David (Janet), Wisconsin Rapids, WI; John (Jean), Ocala, FL; Eric (Tara), Oshkosh, WI; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, siblings Delores (Pat), Elaine (Don), Carol (Jerry), Dick (Debbie) and Don (Sandy), brothers-in-law Chuck (Bev), Sean, CJ (Jeanette), sister-in-law Deb (Brian), and step mother-in-law Dorien (Fred).
John was preceded in death by his parents John and Ann and father-in-law Charles Hein.
Life Tributes Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Spencer is assisting his family. There will no visitation or funeral service per John's wishes. Memorials may be sent to Highground Veterans Memorial Park or Ministry Hospice Home Care.
John's family would like to thank the staff at Marshfield Clinic, St. Joseph's Hospital and the Hospice Home Health Care team for their help and support.
