Obituary of Dorraine E Allar
Age 91, of Colby, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 at The Waterford in Colby.
A Memorial Service for Dorraine will be celebrated at 2 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford with a light lunch to follow. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until time of services. Committal services will take place in Colby Memorial Cemetery.
Dorraine was born on July 14, 1927 in Marshfield, the daughter of Edgar and Eleonora (Loos) Williams. She attended Cloverdale Elementary School and graduated from Unity High School. Dorraine was employed as a cashier at several dime stores in the area, as manager at Marshfield Oil Company, an assistant manager at Auto Stop and a manager at the Petro Pantry. Her greatest love of all was raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford.
Her hobbies included camping, trying her luck at the casino, snowmobiling, gardening, creating beautiful latch hook and embroidery pieces to share with her family. She also loved to cheer on the Green Bay Packers and join in discussions on political issues of the times.
Dorraine is survived by her children Judy (Russ) Palmerton of Abbotsford and Gene (Dawn) Allar of Spencer; her grandchildren: Tami (Jay) Scheibe, Rick (Jeremy) Palmerton and Nick (Michelle) Allar; her great-grandchildren: Ashley (Ben) and Madisen Palmerton, Dylan and Lydia Scheibe and Trevor Allar; her sister Diann Raczykowski of Phillips; her sister-in-law Lenora Williams of Marshfield along with many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Eleonora; her sister Doris in birth; her brother Leslie and her brother-in-law Walter Raczykowski.
