Obituary of Fredric George Bruesewitz
Fredric G. Bruesewitz
Age 81, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, July 23, 2019 at Stoney River Memory Care in Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Crossroads Church in Pittsville. Rev. David Bratlie will officiate. Committal services will be held privately at a later time. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday at the church from 10AM until time of services. The honor of pallbearer will belong to his grandchildren Carrie, Austin, Zach, Aaron, Sarah and Angela.
Fredric was born December 20, 1937 in Spencer, the son of Frederick and Nellie (Stowell) Bruesewitz. He graduated from Colby High School and attended classes at Wausau Technical College. On June 27, 1964 Fred was united in marriage to Ruth Emma Gilbert. Together they raised their five children. He was employed as a salesperson for Rochester Midland Corporation which manufactured industrial chemicals and worked as a mechanic at Severt’s Service Station.
He enjoyed listening to polka music, solving jigsaw puzzles, doing cross-stitch and embroidery, going fishing or spending time on his wood working projects. Fred was a volunteer firefighter for The Richfield Fire Department for five years and was a member of Boy Scouts of America.
Fredric is survived by his loving wife Ruth of Marshfield; his children: Steven (Rebecca) Bruesewitz of Rockford, IL, Scott (Michelle) Bruesewitz of Stevens Point, Todd (Joyce) Bruesewitz of Pine Island, MN, Tamera (Al) Pickhard of Marshfield and Kevin (Christy) Bruesewitz of Wausau; 18 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 5 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Nellie; his brothers Harold, Raymond “Johnny” and Wilmer and his sister Bertha “Betty” (Herbert) Steinwagner.
If desired, the family is accepting memorials in Fred’s name for a charity to be determined.
