Richard K. “Rick” Conrad Age 53, of Abbotsford formerly of Madison, passed away at the House of The Dove in Marshfield on Saturday, June 7, 2014 A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at First United Presbyterian Church 305 West Elm Street, Abbotsford. Rev. Marcia Thomas will officiate. Committal services will take place privately at a later date. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Thursday from 10:30AM until time of services. Rick was born June 9, 1960 in Green Bay, the son of Kenneth and Barbara (Wussow) Conrad. He attended Abbotsford High School and after his graduation attended UW-Madison. He resided in Madison for 30 years. There he worked in the dietary Department at University Hospital and also managed a pizza parlor. Rick had spent the last four years living in Abbotsford. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Brewers, Cubs and Packers. Rick was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford. Survivors include his parents: Kenneth and Barbara Conrad of Abbotsford; his fiancée LuAnn Purdy and sons; his siblings: Valerie (Paul) Knautz of Abbotsford, Michael (Tammy) Conrad of Cottage Grove, Susan (Monty) Matthews of Pratt, KS and Adam (Molly) Conrad of Richfield, MN; his nieces and nephews: Nichole, Tyler, Sarah, Jordan, Patrick, Parker, Kenneth Samuel, and Georgia; one great niece and one great nephew. Rick was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Life Tributes Funeral Home and Cremation Service-Spencer is assisting the family.
