Dolores A. Knutson
Age 78, of Spencer, was surrounded by her family at the moment she returned to her Lord on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Spencer United Methodist Church in Spencer. Pastor Mike Carlson will officiate. Burial will take place in Colby Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church in Spencer from 9:30AM until time of services. The grandchildren: Jenny Behrens, Derek, Devon, Luke Griepentrog, Eric Sandley, Trina and Traci Fuehrer will have the honor of being pallbearer for Dolores.
Dolores was born November 27, 1935 in Clark County, daughter of Edwin and Hulda (Neuhaus) Strade. She attended Clovernook Elementary School and graduated from Colby High School. On May 7, 1955 Dolores married Harold Sandley. They later divorced. She later married Norman Knutson at Spencer United Methodist Church on June 6, 1987. He survives. Dolores retired from Land O Lakes in Spencer.
Hobbies included reading, crocheting, embroidery work or maybe just going for walks. She loved dancing the waltz and the polka with her husband Norman. Her children remember her fabulous baked goods and delicious cookies always made with love.
She was a member of Spencer United Methodist Church and was a former Sunday school teacher there for many years.
Survivors include her husband Norman of Spencer; her children: Dale (Betty) Sandley of Sheboygan Falls, Debra (Mark Kaiser) Griepentrog of Spencer, Dori (Mark) Fuehrer of Marshfield; seven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; two sisters: Bernice (Leonard) Kademan of Spencer and Jeanette Telford of Colby; her extended family: Kelly (Christine) Knutson of Bay City, Larry (Alyce) Knutson of Wisconsin Rapids, Rita Blenker of Marshfield and Kari (Larry) Wilsmann of Auburndale; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; two very dear friends: Marlous Gonering of Marshfied and Marie Oestreich of Spencer.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents.
