Larry P. Schubert

Age 71, of Marshfield, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Marshfield Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 PM until 6 PM on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Five-O-One Sports Bar & Grill, 501 S Washington Avenue, Marshfield.

Larry was born November 25, 1949 in the Village of Richfield, the son of Frank and Thelma (Connor) Schubert. He graduated from Marshfield Senior High. After graduation, Larry went on to work at Weyerhaeuser for 46 years. He also took classes at the tech school where he received a technical diploma for welding. On April 18, 1972, he was united in marriage to Susan Delis in Marshfield, whom he met on a blind date. Together, they had two children.

He was always busy and quick to help anyone in need. He loved to play pool and was a huge Elvis fan. He was also very proud of his grandsons and loved to watch them perform at school performances and sporting events. Larry was fond of their many cats, but specifically his favorite cat he named Susie.

Larry is lovingly survived by his wife, Susan; his son, Gary (Lisa) Schubert; his daughter, Michelle (Chris) Lang; his six grandsons and four great-grandsons. He is further survived by his brother, John “Jack” (Verna) Foote of Michigan; his sister, Sharon Smith of Colorado along with many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Thelma Schubert and his sisters, Janet, Margaret, Betty, Viola, Joe and Gloria.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting memorials in Larry’s name for a charity to be determined.
