Vicky J. Huber, age 66, a resident of the Town of Sherry, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021.
A prayer and committal service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, May 14, 2021 at West Spencer Cemetery in the Town of Sherman. Rev. Barry Saylor will officiate. Vicky’s family and friends are invited to gather at the cemetery on Friday.
Vicky Jean Huber was born June 11, 1954 in Marshfield, Wisc. to Elroy and Harriet (Bever) Huber. She attended Spencer schools, graduating from Spencer High School in May 1972. She also attended UW-Superior, majoring in Art. In her younger years she volunteered at the Art Gallery at the Marshfield Clinic, worked at Weinbrenner factory, she was part of the band, “Country Folk,” and she helped at a home day care.
Vicky’s artistic abilities included drawing and painting, songwriting and playing the guitar and making beautifully decorated cut-out cookies. She filled many, many orders for those delicious, gorgeous cookies; some being special orders where she designed the cookie cutter. She enjoyed reading and keeping up on current events, playing cards, gardening and flowers and Green Bay Packer football. In younger years, Vic enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles. Her cats brought her so much comfort and enjoyment. We will miss hearing her stories of the antics of her much loved “kitties”.
Vicky is survived by her life partner, David Manthey; her siblings: Diane (David) Bushman, Randy (Linda) Huber, Larry Huber, Steve (Kay) Huber and Tom (Mary) Huber; and David Manthey’s siblings: Mary, Tom and Bob. Vicky’s nieces and nephews were special to her. She often remembered their birthdays or holidays with hand-made cards. Two aunts, Mary Bever and Yvonne Devine also survive, along with many cousins and friends.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Phyllis Huber, aunts, uncles and cousins and some very special “feline friends.”
Vicky was a very spiritual person. Her words and biblical references on cards she sent were always comforting.
Rest in peace dear, sweet lady. Your suffering is over.
