Obituary of James Dennis Frankland

Age 79, passed away Tuesday morning, October 12, 2021 at his residence in the Town of McMillan.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4PM on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Mark Krueger officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Sunday from 1PM until time of service. At a later time, committal services will be held.
Jim was born on November 9, 1941 in Marshfield; the son of Donald and Arvilla (Fahey) Frankland. He graduated from Marshfield Senior High School. On October 10, 1964, he was united in marriage to Margaret Mancl at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield. He owned and operated Jim’s Auto in Marshfield for many years until his retirement.
He enjoyed going to out to their cottage to relax as well as do some fishing, camping or just being with family. He was an avid deer hunter who looked forward to each gun deer season. He loved to travel and take day trips with Margie or plan getaways out West.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Margaret; his daughter, Karen (Jeff) O’Reilly and his son, Scott (Melissa) Frankland; all of Marshfield. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Morgan (fiancé, Keaton Slowiak) O’Reilly, Mackenzie Frankland and Casey Frankland; his great-granddaughter, Paiseley Slowiak and his beloved canine companions: Toby and Remi along with many other relatives, friends, co-workers and customers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Arvilla; his grandson, Trevor Brown; his granddaughter, Kali Ann Frankland and his sister, Donna Jicinsky.
If desired, memorials are being accepted by Jim’s family for a charity to be determined.
