Betty H. Bohman
Age 75, of Marshfield, passed away Tuesday morning, December 7, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield with Rev. Douglas Robertson officiating. She will be laid to rest in Gate of Heaven Cemetery following the services. Family and friends are invited to gather at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 5PM-7PM and again at church on Friday from 9AM until time of service. The honor of pallbearer belongs to: Pat Esser, David Bohman, Josh Bohman, Jay Bryhan, Brandon Wucherpfennig, Heather Heiman, Randy Ellis and Jordan Perrine.
Betty was born on March 2, 1946 in Madison to Frank and Veronica (Weinfurtner) Rotar. She attended school in Bakerville. On April 22, 1967, she was united in marriage to Joseph A. Bohman at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville. Sadly, he passed away January 22, 1997. She was employed as a caretaker and home health aide for Aspirus for 10 ½ years as well as owned and operated a dairy farm.
She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield as well its PCCW.
Betty enjoyed many hobbies including baking, gardening, canning and sewing. She loved to host parties for family and friends. Perhaps her greatest loves were her family or just sitting to visit with people.
Those who will cherish her memory include her children: Carla (Mike) Bryhan of Oregon, Wisc., Jan (Prentice) House of Arkansas, Gary Bohman of Marshfield, Ronald (Dawn) Bohman of Marshfield, Christine (Larry) Hannum of Marshfield, Barbara (Keith) Wucherpfennig of Granton, Brenda (Daryl) Sternweis of Marshfield, Patrick (Tammy Hensel) Bohman of Spencer, Cheryl Willcome of Marshfield, Paul Bohman of Marshfield, Tina (Tad) Gardner of Granton, Sheila (Robby) Roehl of Chili and Ginger (Adam) Sternweis of Marshfield; 38 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and her sister, Donna (Dewain) Ellis of Marshfield along with many other relatives and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; her son, Chuck; her granddaughter, Theresa House; her grandson, Vincent Willcome; her sister, Darlene Franklin; her canine companion, Brownie and all of her beloved pets.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Betty’s name can be directed to Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
