Jerry L. “Jack” Neumann
Age 69 of Marshfield, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Golden Living Center-Continental Manor in Abbotsford. A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer. The Rev. David DePaoli will officiate. Burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Brighton with full military honors being conducted. A visitation will take place on Saturday at the funeral home in Spencer from 9:30AM until time of services. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Nikolai, Greg Rindfleisch, Matt Berrier, Tom Bittner, Jon Burnett, Bob Apfel and Barb Altmann. Russ Wenzel will serve as an honorary pallbearer in memoriam.
Jack was born November 6, 1944 in Marshfield, the son of Raymond and Ruby (Hebert) Neumann. He graduated from Spencer High and attended technical college to further advance his education. On July 1, 1966, he entered the United States Air Force and faithfully served his country until his honorable discharge on April 17, 1970. On October 29, 1983 Jack became married to Tammera Lulich at Faith Lutheran Church in Marshfield. He was employed at the University of WI-Marshfield Campus as an audio visual coordinator.
His memberships included the Marshfield Library Board, Marshfield Zoological Society, was very active with UW-Marshfield Campus Theater productions by providing assistance with sound and lighting for various productions.
Jack was involved with Marshfield Youth Hockey Association, a supporter of Marshfield Fair Association and at one time managed the dorms at UW-Marshfield. Jack was a former member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Marshfield and a current member of Trinity Lutheran Ev. Lutheran Church in Spencer.
Hobbies included photography, reading and building projects around his home. He was considered a sort of “jack of all trades” by those that knew him best.
Survivors include his mother Ruby Neumann of Colby; two sons: Jesse Joseph Neumann of Austin, TX and Jared Jackson Neumann of Fort Collins, CO; his siblings: Sandra R. (Gerald) Smith of Spencer, Diane C. (Larry) Decker of Colby and Douglas L. (Linda) Neumann of Unity along with many other relatives and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his father Raymond Neumann and two canine companions: Ace and Zuzu and a cat, Frisky.
