My condolences to all of Chris’ loved ones. I worked along side him in my 17 years at Green Tree/ Ditech. He taught me a lot while I was there. He was always this “mystical” guy who knew a TON but seemed quiet and a little gruff on the outside, but those who got to know him knew how much of a softie he was. He had such a dry and gritty wit and sarcasm that I loved. I sat right next to him for about a year and my goal was always to get him to laugh out loud because he seemed like you had to earn a laugh out of him - the joke had to be worthy. A memory that sticks out…One time I was singing “the candy man can” - that old timey song but just that part of the song, and it was driving Chris nuts. And then out of nowhere, a couple days later, I heard him quietly under his breath singing, “the candy man can” and I looked at him and he said something like “damnit, Sam” but he was laughing. He was a great colleague and person. He will be missed.
