Obituary of Frank Leo Jagodzinski
Frank Jagodzinski, age 93, of Edgar, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, October 28, 2022 at Aspirus Hospital-Wausau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgar with Rev. Alan Wierzba officiating. He will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Saturday from 9 AM until time of service. The honor of pallbearer belongs to: Todd, Scott and Randy Jagodzinski, Nathan and Perry Szuminski and Bruce Myszka.
Frank was born in the Town of Wien on June 12, 1929 to Frank and Catherine (Urmanski) Jagodzinski, Sr. He attended Scotch Creek School. On July 23, 1952, he was united in marriage to Jolanta Szuminski at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cassel. He was a longtime, dedicated dairy farmer.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgar.
Frank enjoyed listening to polka music and playing cards. Other hobbies included making firewood or going to auctions seeking unfound “treasures”. He enjoyed celebrating birthdays with “The Gang.”
His memory will be cherished by his loving daughter, Sharon (Randy) Ross; his grandson, Ryan (Michelle) Ross; his great-grandchildren, Marcus and Caliana Ross; his sister-in-law, Gloria Szuminski and his nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. and Catherine; his wife, Jolanta; his son, Gerald; his sisters, Irene Wrycha and Virginia Conrad; his brother Dennis Jagodzinski and an infant brother, Joseph.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Frank’s name can be directed to St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Edgar.
