Ronald J. Faucher 1936-2023
Age 86, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his home in the Town of Cameron.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield with Rev. Barry Saylor officiating. Following prayers of committal, full military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 54 of Marshfield.
Ronald was born in Marshfield on November 11, 1936 son of the late Clifford, Sr. and Frances “Todd” (Welch) Faucher. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps from January 1954 until his honorable discharge in January 1956. He was a member of Millwrights Local 1056. He had been a member of American Legion Post 54, Fraternal Order of Eagles 654, and Knights of Columbus 1799.
On July 9, 1954, he was united in marriage to Patricia Weister in Oceanside, CA. Sadly, she passed away in 2014. He later re-married on December 4, 2017, to Bonnie Jardine at the Wisconsin Rapids courthouse. She survives.
Ronald enjoyed spending time fishing at the Turtle Flambeau and hunting whitetail deer.
Those who will cherish his memory include his wife, Bonnie; his children, Deborah (Randall) Pokallus and Steve Faucher, both of Marshfield; his five grandchildren, Eric (Ashley) Pokallus of Middleton, Michael (Kayla) Pokallus of Lodi, Anna (Mitchell) Voeltz of Hammond, Patrick Faucher and Alex (Whitney) Faucher, both of LaCrosse and five great-grandchildren, Leighton, Aryana, Lincoln, Noelle and Levi. He is further survived by his brother, Jerold (Eileen) Faucher of Marshfield along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Patricia; his brothers, William and Clifford Jr. and his sisters, Mary Ann and Veronica “Bonnie”.
