Marion was born on August 24, 1936 in Spencer to Daniel and Edna (Weister) Kobs. She graduated from Spencer High School and went on to receive an associate degree and was a teacher at the Spencer Public School. On June 8, 1957, she was united in marriage to Allan Seitz at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. Sadly, Allan passed away in 2011.
She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer and served on many committees and filled many roles throughout the years. She was a member of several community organizations including Spencer Garden Club, Spencer Woman’s Club, and the Village Board.
Her many hobbies included bowling, crocheting, quilting, and tending to her birds. But her favorite hobby was gardening. She had beautiful flower gardens and plentiful vegetable gardens that she meticulously maintained year after year. She was an excellent cook and hosted many family gatherings. She and Allan spent many weekends fishing and relaxing at their cabin and enjoyed hosting friends who came to visit. She loved garage sale-ing with her close friends and recycled many treasures that way. And she loved spending time with her grandchildren!
Those who will cherish her memory are her children, Mike (LeeAnn) Seitz of Mosinee, Candy (Ron) Thalacker of Montgomery, TX and Kris (Bart) Unertl of Mosinee; her grandchildren, Taylor (David) Egles of St. Petersburg, FL, Bryce (Rachael) Thalacker of The Colony, TX, Aaron Seitz of Rice Lake, Adam Seitz of Wausau, and Tanner Unertl of Mosinee; her brother, Merlin (Jean) Kobs of Spencer and her sister-in-law, Sharon Kobs along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Edna Kobs; her husband, Allan Seitz; her sister, Margie (Roger) Landwehr, her brother, Jerry Kobs and her nephew, Randy Landwehr.
The family would like to thank the staff of both Mount View Care Center and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice for the excellent care and support they provided.
