Reinhold “Reinnie” William Werth, age 82, of Marshfield, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2023, at his home in Marshfield, WI.
A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Wednesday January 17th at Grace Baptist Church, 11771 Lincoln Ave, Marshfield. A time of fellowship will begin an hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Reinnie was born June 27, 1941, the son of Reinhold and Pearl (Nauertz) Werth in Marshfield, WI. His elementary years were spent in snowy Ironwood MI. As a teen the family returned to Marshfield where he graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1959. He enlisted in the United States Army and served in Nancy, France as a MP and diesel mechanic. He was honorably discharged in 1962. On August 28, 1965, he was united in marriage to Nola Juliann Mellenthin at Zion United Methodist in Marshfield, WI. His career focused on being a mechanic, semi and school bus driver and cheesemaker.
In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, working on anything with an engine especially Bolens garden tractors. His most recently rehauled the engine of a 1972 John Deere tractor and a 1980’s 3-wheeler. Reinnie was an avid NASCAR and Green Bay Packer fan. He was a quiet, behind-the-scenes supporter of his family, always willing to lend a helping hand.
He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Juliann; their children: Kristine (Robert) Riley of Richfield, MN, Timothy (Beth) of Marshfield; siblings: Richard (Lois) Werth of Kansas City, MO, Melvin (Carolyn) Werth of Baxter MN, Harold (Rita) Werth of Marshfield, Nancy (Jerry) Ledger of West Allis, Lois (Wayne) Blaubach of Oak Creek, Alan (Robin) Werth of Wisconsin Rapids. He is further survived by four grandchildren, Ross Werth, Nate Werth, Megan (Derek) Mayer, Jon Werth and fifteen nieces and nephews.
Reinnie is preceded in death by his parents, a sister-in-law Lois Werth, brother-in-law Jerry Ledger, and two nephews.
