Arlett E. Weiler, Age 77, of Blenker, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at her residence surrounded by family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Saint Kilian’s Catholic Church in Blenker. Rev. Barnabas Kyeah will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Friday at the church in Blenker from 3PM until 7PM and again on Saturday at the church from 9:30AM until time of services. A Saint Kilian’s PCCW Rosary Service will be held at 7PM on Friday evening at the church in Blenker. Acting as pallbearers will be Arlett’s nieces and nephews: Dale and Dean Folz, Sandra Perlock, Lois Mayer, Larry Borenz and David Schmidt. Arlett was born on November 20, 1936 in Stratford to Edwin and Selma (Knutson) Schmidt. She graduated from Stratford High School Class of 1954. Early on, Arlett worked in a drugstore, for the Weinbrenner Shoe Company and for Weyerhaeuser Company all located in Marshfield. On October 25, 1955, Arlett was married to Joseph T. Weiler at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Auburndale. He survives. Joe and Arlett resided in Auburndale later moving to Blenker in 1964 until the present. She lovingly raised their children and later became employed at Saint Joseph’s Hospital Environmental Services Department until her retirement. Hobbies included gardening, sewing, dancing, cooking and baking. It was important for Arlett to always have homemade baked goods for her family, especially cutout cookies. Memories were made fishing with her husband on Pike Lake and spending time there at their campsite. For those that truly knew Arlett, she was devoted to her children and grandchildren, was always willing to help whatever the project was and enjoyed the moments shared with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of Saint Kilian’s Catholic Church, Blenker and Saint Kilian’s PCCW. Survivors include her husband Joseph T. Weiler of Blenker; her children: Joseph G. (fiancée Deb Leiberg) Weiler of Elkhart Lake; Sandra (Dale) Marth of Auburndale; Daniel (Amy) Weiler of Stevens Point; Pamela (Kent) Kalbacken of Elkhart Lake and Edward (Diane) Weiler of Junction City; her grandchildren: Katrina, Angela, Alexander, Owen, Courtney, Zachary, Breanna, Kaylin, Aaron, Laura, Bryce, Nicole, Jonathan, Lindsey, Brooke and Joseph; two sisters: Isadora Masanz of Marshfield and Shirley Folz of Stratford along with many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Arlett is further survived by her true and trusted canine companion, her beagle “Bozo”. Arlett was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Norman and one sister Arlene.
