Margaret A. Gronski
Age 62, of Pittsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Ministry Saint Joseph Hospital-Marshfield surrounded by her husband and family.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Crossroads Church in Pittsville (5467 1st Avenue). Pastor David Bratlie will officiate. Her family, friends and former students are invited for visitation on Tuesday at the church in Pittsville from 4PM until 8PM and again on Wednesday at the church from 9:30AM until time of services. Committal services will be held privately at a later date. The honor of pallbearer go to: Robert Piotrowski, Mark Denniston, Tom Gardner, Jerry Masephol, Bob Wolfe, John Downs, Mike Hiles and David Lyons

Margaret was born March 8, 1952 in Marshfield, the daughter of Carl and Lois (Habhegger) Worchel. After her graduation from Spencer High School in 1970 as their class valedictorian , she attended and graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 1974 with a teaching degree in Music. On July17, 1993 at Crossroads Church-Pittsville, Margaret married the love of her life, Greg Gronski. He survives.
On September 21, 1974, Margaret began teaching at Pittsville High School. Her teaching career of over 37 years in music and chorus touched the lives of countless students and her memory will live on in their music and song. During this time she had been able to teach music and chorus to all twelve grades at PHS. After her retirement on June 30, 2011, she continued to teach part time at PHS and also Spencer High School. Margaret was always ready and able to give her time and talents whenever and wherever needed in the community.
She was a member of Crossroads Church in Pittsville where she was a pianist, a Deaconess, was part of the prayer triplets, a choir director, part of the worship team and Joyful Hearts, the Red Hat Society “Red Devils” Chapter of Marshfield, Marshfield Chamber Choir and a leader for the Campus Crusade for Christ Organization.
She wanted her students to know how much she loved them all. Margaret left this world while listening to her favorite music piece “The Hallelujah Chorus”.
Survivors include her husband Greg Gronski of Pittsville; her son Derek Miner of Stevens Point; her mother-in-law Thelma Gronski of Phoenix, AZ; four step-children: Jeff (Robin) Gronski of Babcock, Carmen (Everett Mueller) Richardson of Marshfield, Greg (Amy) Gronski, Jr. of Marshfield and Kara (Rick) Theune of Phoenix, AZ; her step-grandchildren: Jeron Gronski and Codi (Nate) McElroy both of Nekoosa, Sydney Richardson of Marshfield, Nathan, Evan and Matthew Gronski all of Marshfield, Logan, Abby, Peyton Theune of Phoenix, AZ. Margaret is further survived by her aunt Catherine Kronberger of Loyal; a cousin Robert Kronberger of Greenwood; two brothers-in-law: Eric (Karen) Gronski of Morris, IL and Mark Gronski of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters-in-law: Reba (David) Brown of Paullina, IA and Roma (Morgan) Ayers of Phoenix, AZ along with many other relatives, friends and former students.
She was preceded in death her parents.
Memorials in Margaret’s name are being accepted to Pittsville High School Music Dept., Crossroads Church-Pittsville or Campus Crusade for Christ.
