Obituary of Jessica Chesmore

God gained an angel as we said our goodbyes to Jessica Ann Chesmore. Her eight year battle with cancer came to an end December 19, 2014 while she was surrounded by loved ones at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. Her story will continue to be told by those who hold her in their hearts. She had undeniable strength that simply inspired a person to want to try harder and love more. A beloved wife, a mother with limitless love, and a best friend who can never be replaced. Jessica was a proud mother of Vanesa Newman who is currently attending Hamline University, Megan Chesmore who melted her mother’s heart during her show choir performances, and Lucas Chesmore who just started his Altoona Railroaders football fun. Jessica was a happily married wife of 15 years to Jeff Chesmore. Family and friends would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Muslim and the Regional Cancer Center staff and also the staff of 2 North at Sacred Heart Hospital. Jessica is survived by her grandmother Charlotte Lambrecht of Schofield, her mother JoAnn Frie of Arizona, a brother Kyle Newman of Crevitz, two aunt’s Judy Laub of Mosinee and Jill Newman of Schofield, two uncle’s Jeff (Leslie) Newman of Madison and Jay (Tammy) Newman, six cousins Tammy Faries, Becky Lindner, Heidi MacEachern, Callie Ward, Heather and Nathan Newman and also a special friend, Jennifer Struensee. A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. Rev. Mark Neumann will officiate. Committal services will be held privately at a later date. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday at the church in Colby from 9AM until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family or to Eau Claire County Humane Society are being accepted in Jessica's memory.
