My heart goes out to you at this sad time of loss. Yet, I rejoice with you in the truths of heaven and eternity with our Lord and Savior. What a precious time I had for a long weekend at your beautiful farm. It was so wonderful watching you lovingly care for your dad. Rick and Mark also extend their love and sympathies to you.

It is so precious to my heart that I was able to spend a weekend this past fall at your farm. Watching you all care so lovingly for Vernon was a precious experience for me. Our hearts sympathize with you at this sad time yet we rejoice in the truths and promise of heaven. Much love to Gen, Bill, Margaret and families.

Uncle Vernon You were my Mom's baby brother. She would tell us stories about when you were young and how you two were partners in crime. My most treasured memories was when we were young, Ranae, Lauren, and I stayed with you and Aunt Margaret when Mom and Dad went on vac. and took Lily and Kathy with them. We had so much fun staying there and being with our cousins. More then once we would come and spend Christmas with all the family, and we had a lot of family we had so much fun. Then Mom got sick and we did not get to see you see very much after that. Mother passed in 1973 and our family was crushed. Our family went there own ways, I was heart broken and never got to see you and the family for many, many years. It was one of the happiest days I had in many years when we all got together at your 50th wedding Anniversary. It was so good to see everyone. That is how I will remember you Uncle on the farm and milking all those cows. I will keep all these memoires and all this love in my heart until the day we are all together again. My Great Uncle Vernon will be remembered by me most fondly as he was one of the kindest men I know! When my Grandmother LaVeda, his sister, passed of Cancer when I was five, I remember "my Uncle Vernon" picking me up and spinning by my arms, in circles, while I giggled. If he got tired he never let me know it! It must have been difficult for him at the loss of his sister, but he never let me down! I only wish I lived closer and could have known him better! The world has lost a GREAT man, but Heaven is blessed more so as he has gone Home!
